Revisionist history would be to deny the principles included in the TEA Literary List.
Non-assimilating groups, and paid activist groups ( many of which maintain a systemic hatred for the Judeo-Christian West ) should not automatically be given priority―nor quarter―in the name of some amorphous concept of "progress". To deny the TEA Literary List in our Texas public schools is to deny reality and self-evident truth.

As a lifelong Texan millennial who attended Texas public school, I approve of the "TEA Literary List” because it includes factual and engaging books that focus on Western Civilization, our Christian roots, classical literature, and pro-American factual accounts of our history and historical heroes.
In contrast, I oppose the “Hickman Literary List” because it removes many great classics, numerous selections related to Christianity and stories about our founding Presidents.
The Judeo-Christian West and teaching the Judeo-Christian West in our Texas public schools does not equate "forcing religion" to secularists, or religious people who are not of the Judeo-Christian mindset. Instructing upcoming generations of Texans and American citizens about the evidence, data, and facts informing our Judeo-Christian West founding and culture as public school curricula is not forcing religion on anyone. Teaching Capitalism, and other strong and real Judeo-Christian Roots in Texas public school curriculum must be the standard for Texas public schools. It is foolishness to turn our back on these strong roots by taking counsel from paid secularist, non-assimilating people groups and NGOs; in attempt to thwart teaching the Judeo-Christian West when it self-evidently is our history.
